Course Content
With the increased use of light gauge steel (LGS) in Australian building projects, the demand for detailers in this steel industry sector has also increased. The demand is coming from traditional LGS markets such as framing systems for domestic construction together with newer application areas such as modular construction and structural framing in mid-level buildings. These projects are taking advantage of the strength, stiffness, robustness, dimensional stability and environmental resistance of LGS.
The detailing of LGS using proprietary software is essential to ensure that critical components such as steel wall frames, roof trusses, and floor frames are manufactured and installed to meet the specifications of Architects, Building Designers and Engineers.
This introductory seminar presented by industry experts will be of particular interest to those who are seeking a career in the building industry and want to learn more about LGS and detailing. The course is 2 hours (excluding quiz time) long.
